Food from Around the World

As we get deeper into July, more and more fantastic events begin to take place. Summer is the prime time to get outdoors, and with the awesome selection of things to do in and around town here in Crofton, it gets all the easier. While hanging out here at Crofton Village can be a blast (spending time at the pool is one of our particular favorites), that doesn’t mean you can’t get out and about to see the great state of Maryland. We’re only a short distance from Washington, D.C. and the capital is chock-full of festivals this season. There’s one in particular that has become a favorite of the locals as it features both food and fun in a fair you won’t want to miss out on.

You can read more about the event here, but here are some of the details the site has provided for you to get familiar with the World Cultural Food Festival before you attend!

Event Description

Around the World Cultural Food Festival brings together diverse, authentic, living traditions from different countries around the world. Our mission is to preserve and strengthen the culture of each country while presenting it to the public throughout the course of this event and give all the participants a chance to learn from one another and understand the cultural differences and similarities.

With an expected attendance of over 10,000 people, everyone will experience these unique cultural connections through cooking and craft demonstrations, music and dance performances.

The public will have the opportunity to learn, to eat, to dance, to shop, to witness these vibrantly connected cultures and create their own connections with each and every single country presented in the event.
