September 25th is National Comic Book Day! How long has it been since you read a comic book? A week? A year? Decades? Maybe even… never? Well, however long it has been, why not take advantage of the upcoming holiday to pick up a great story or two? Today the Crofton Village Blog has suggestions for comics to look up and places to go near your apartment here in Crofton, MD to find your next read.

One of the closest comic book stores near us is the Third Eye Comics in Annapolis. Find other places to find comic books on Google to read reviews and check hours, too. Of course, you can find many comic books online or at a local bookshop, as well.

Not sure where to start reading? We’ve got some recommendations for a variety of great stories:

Daredevil: The Man Without Fear

Taunted and tormented by children while growing up, Matt’s life was irrevocably altered after he was blinded by radioactive materials while saving the life of an old man. The payoff? An unbreakable will and a keen intelligence, helping focus the super-senses he was blessed with during the accident.

Batgirl Vol. 1: The Darkest Reflection

Barbara Gordon is finally back as Batgirl! The nightmare-inducing brute known as Mirror is destroying the lives of Gotham City citizens seemingly at random. Will Barbara be able to survive her explosive confrontation with this new villain, as well as facing dark secrets from her past? A new chapter in the riveting adventures of Batgirl continue in stunning fashion, with [a] script by fan-favorite Gail Simone and stellar art by superstar Ardian Syaf!

Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Life

Scott Pilgrim’s life is totally sweet. He’s 23 years old, he’s in a rock band, he’s “between jobs,” and he’s dating a cute high school girl. Nothing could possibly go wrong, unless a seriously mind-blowing, dangerously fashionable, rollerblading delivery girl named Ramona Flowers starts cruising through his dreams and sailing by him at parties. Will Scott’s awesome life get turned upside-down? Will he have to face Ramona’s seven evil ex-boyfriends in battle? The short answer is yes. The long answer is Scott Pilgrim, Volume 1: Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life.

What are your favorite comic books or places to find them? Leave your recommendations with the rest of the apartment community in the comments. Thanks for reading. Enjoy!
